New Construction

Our current new construction project is a 1496sf home on a full finished basement. Basically, the result is approximately 3000sf of living space. Featuring, a cathedral ceiling, in an open great room/kitchen area, giving the inside a very spacious feel. A master bed/bath as well as a guest room with private full bath and plenty of closet space for both. Additionally, a larger closet space as well as a food pantry have been added which were not in the plans. Another full bath in the basement is also being installed. As work progresses, I will attempt to stay on top of additional photos!

Site work and foundation prep work are critical on new construction. Furthermore, we use only licensed and qualified contractors for any work that we do sub out. Superior Walls are used on this basement which I personally feel is the only way to go

Post footers are done, the beam is set, and construction begins. After the walls were set, this house was “dried in” from the weather in just two weeks. Getting the roof on and covered with underlayment is a critical step, and therefore needs to be done in a timely fashion to protect the wood structure from water.

Plumbing is installed for the basement full bath as well as access to upstairs and a concrete floor is then poured. Plastic is placed on the gravel prior to pouring as a vapor barrier. With proper prep and quality work you will not find a drier basement than one constructed with Superior walls.

These photos are coordinated with the series of events that take place during a new home build. However, due to limited space, a lot of the process has been left out. We work with our clients during the build to make changes as requested prior to each phase of the project. That way, we keep costsĀ  for changes to a minimum. Our goal is to give you a quality build, as well as controlling cost. Changes are going to be made, therefore, it is much easier to address them in advance of work performed.

Finally, please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding your new home build.
